GDI stands for Global Domains International and was founded in February 2000.
GDI's function is to provide a personalized domain such as the .WS domain name which function the same as .com domains. The country of Western Samoa owns the .WS top-level domain. GDI works in cooperation with the government of Western Samoa as the official registry of the .WS top-level domain. GDI's .WS domains work exactly like .com domains. What this means to the consumer is that popular .com domains not available in the past are now available in the .WS format.
Other then domain name registration and web hosting, GDI provides tools to help in your marketing such as website design tools, an affiliate website with video, 10 customized email accounts with optional forwarding, email marketing system, bulk emailer, access to hit logs (for tracking), downline and commissions stat reports.
Note that the affiliate website is not the same as the actual website one gets. Upon checking out the back office, you will find information on how to design a website OF YOUR OWN using GDI's inhouse tools and have it accessible by the public at the .WS domain name of your choice example, www.yourdomainname.WS
.WS domain names can be bought through other webhosting companies such as Godaddy or Doteasy. The main difference is the business aspect of GDI, which offers a 5-tier level marketing system. At this point, some alarm bells start ringing by the 3 letter word that is "Multi Level Marketing". In Singapore, which enjoys a reputable image of law & order(No chewing gum allowed in this country), the relevant authorities are utilizing the newspaper and radio media to clarify the negative public image actual pyramid and ponzi schemes have generated for multi level marketing. Any testimonial claims such as "I made $10,000 a month online throught this system" are legally scrutinized before such a newspaper ad can be placed in the Singapore Straits Times newspaper. A check of GDI's testimonial page features Singaporeans who are generally bilingual in both English and Mandarin, have plans to market GDI to the huge untapped mandarin speaking populations in China and Taiwan because the knowledge of GDI or Internet Marketing for that matter is a relatively new concept in Singapore and rest of Asia. This is a good indication of the financial opportunities the Internet can bring to people all over the globe.
I have noted that the ones who make it to the GDI leader boards use similar methods of promoting the business. These methods usually involve sending ones prospects to a collective lead capture page that gets a direct response from the reader instead of sending the reader to the GDI affiliate page. By doing so, the reader will be more likely to sign up through that separate multi level building service because such services help new prospects build their GDI downlines through Coop Advertising and Traffic Exchanges.
Compared to GoDaddy (A popular web hosting company), GDI currently does not support features such as domain masking feature at point of writing. Domain masking is used for Internet Marketers who want to mask the original URL of another website with their own domain name. Still, there are alternative solutions around this should there be a need to mask a domain name. GDI is a new opportunity with room for growth, perhaps this domain masking feature will be added in the future.
In conclusion, GDI offers an opportunity to make money on the Internet with a business plan aimed to common people from any country. For more information on GDI and the tools other Internet Marketers use to market it, visit http://www.FundedSponsoring.WS
