The Secret

Watched a DVD over the weekend, called "The Secret".
It crystallises in words, visual and audio, something I believe in.

Great achievements are powered by passion. A seperate interview program of Donald Trump confirmed the same idealogy, that you must have Passion/Desire/Interest/Love for what you do in order to succeed. Passion in turn is fueled by powerful thoughts, powerful thoughts are shaped by media that charges us emotionally, be it through TV, music, radio, magazines, blogs, advertisement, speeches, seminars, motivational posters.

Every accomplishment you can be proud of begins as a thought and these little thoughts will inadvertently manifest themselves into reality, when given enough time to incubate and grow.

An image of Tiger Woods teeing off.
I can still see it in my minds eye.
Its *breathtaking*

Now for those who do not follow golf, Tiger Woods is a hard hitter, meaning to say his golf swing speed is extremely fast, if you blink, you'll only hear a swoosh sound and Tiger's swing is complete. The memory etched in my brain, is a Tiger Wood golf swing sequence that lasted a mere 5 secs (maybe even less), from the time he stood over the ball to his swing-finish pose.

Until that moment in time, I was never interested in golf. To me, it was a game played by middle aged men, men whose bellies had seen one too many purees, rice and potatoes. 5 seconds was all it took to change my perception of golf and inspire me to embark on a 4 year journey toward the peaks of mount golf.

These were the massive actions I took (And best of all, it was all internally motivated, no drudgery, no discipline required):
-Library, Poured over dozens of books studying golf techniques
-Video, Watched videos produced by the industry's best teachers such as David Leadbetter
-Practice Practice Pratice, Hitting 200 balls was normal, I became excited about practice because it represented an opportuntity to test a new golf concept.
-Internet, Studied Golf swing sequences of the worlds best players, Michelle Wie, Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods, Grace Park, Anika Sorenstam
-Golf set, Invested in a premium S-Yard Set and Ping Driver, costing about $2500

The one thought that inspired me emotionally toward massive action, "I WANT a stylised swing just like Tiger Woods". I never looked back since.

So should there be something in life you desire, think about it enough and allow these thoughts to incubate in your mind. Through time, the actions you take, decisions you make will cause a sequence of events, and turn these thoughts into reality.
